Matt and Lydia’s June wedding at the Pittsburgh Zoo was a blast! The day started with a ceremony at the First Unitarian Church in Oakland and ended with a reception at the zoo. Matt’s family came in from Louisiana and I loved hearing their sweet accents. It was a beautiful and emotional day filled with lots of gorgeous photo opportunities. See for yourself!
Such a cute photo of dad keeping the boys occupied. How adorable are these ring bearer’s hats??Lydia was drop-dead gorgeous! One of my favorite things to photograph is the couple opening their letters or gifts to each other. This room in the church had the most beautiful windows to let in lots of natural light.LOVE when grooms show their emotions!!!Haha! Lydia, you are adorable. The little ones were waiting so patiently.Lydia and Matt were able to serve communion to each other. How’s that for a steamy first kiss? This photo of the bridesmaids and flower girl is just PERFECTION.This is the same garden that Lydia’s parents had their wedding portraits taken in years ago, so of course we HAD to take a few portraits there. This photo of Matt and Ivy helping Lydia onto the horse was just to funny not to share, haha!
Can you spot the lion?Way to go with the dip, Matt!Matt and Lydia had beautiful origami everywhere throughout the reception, lovingly created by their family and friends. This seal really stole the show, especially during the first dance!SO.MUCH.FUNAnd this is one of my favorite images of the day.
